Wintry conditions set to continue

January may have entered it's final days, but the wintry temperatures are set to linger on for a while yet.

Although the worst of this week's conditions - heavy snow is forecast for some parts of the UK - look set to miss us, there are still some freezing temperatures on the way.

There is still a severe weather warning in place for much of the West Midlands today, although the risk of heavy snow looks to have passed.

However, the bitter temperatures and overnight frosts will continue, with the Met Office warning that temperatures will struggle to climb above zero from Wednesday onwards.

Any snowfall that does occur in our area is expected to be light and on higher ground.
