Hi, my name is Laura Innes. I am a goal keeper for the Great Britain Women's Handball team and training for the 2012 Olympics. I am from Sutton and went to Arthur Terry School before moving abroad to train. I am 21 years old and a full time athlete, but also 100% self funded. We qualified to compete in the European Qualifications this year, which is an expensive tournament and therefore we do not have enough funds to travel to Brazil in December to see the World Championships and compete with other nations. This would be great for our development and essential experience this close to the Games. We have been asked as players to fund our travel and I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to raise this money? I train full time everyday and work all the hours I can in between but this is being used to cover costs of living in London with the rest of the squad.
