Further education Open Evenings this week

Students in Sutton Coldfield unsure about their next move into further education will be able to get plenty of expert advice this week.

Schools and colleges in the town are holding their Open Evenings for prospective students throughout the next few days.

Tonight, a Science Careers Event will take place at the Sutton campus of Birmingham Metropolitan College (B74 2NW). The free event will aim to give advice and information to students hoping to pursue a career in this field.

The event begins at 7pm, and further information can be obtained by calling 0121 503 8528.

Also tonight, Fairfax School (B75 7JT) is hosting a Sixth Form Open Evening, aimed at recruiting students who will be studying for their A Levels from next September.

Welcome and information sessions will take place at 6.30pm and 7.15pm.

Tomorrow evening, a similar Sixth Form event will take place at John Willmott School (B75 7DY). A talk will take place in the School Hall at 6.30pm, and that will be followed by individual subject presentations between 7pm and 9pm.

Bishop Vesey's Grammar School (B74 2NH) are hosting two events - an Open Evening on Thursday, which will take place between 6pm and 9pm, then an Open Morning on Friday, from 9am until 10.30am.
