First-half double is enough for Streetly

STREETLY recorded an excellent win over North Staffs.

They went in front as Emma Ward scored after being played through by Kate Stableford.

Some more excellent play in the midfield by Donna Horspool, Lauren Wootton and Emily Peers created more chances for Streetly.

They finally doubled their lead as Stableford won a penalty corner converted by Jenny Devereux.

Streetly failed to build on their first half performance and North Staffs pulled one back.

Sutton Coldfield Men First XI 4 Wolverhampton 0

SUTTON Coldfield continued their great run of form to see off a decent Wolverhampton side.

Goals from Alastair Smith, Paul Terleski, Jon Owens and Alex Johnson were enough to take Sutton Coldfield 11 points clear at the top of Midlands One.

Next up for the in form Sutton side is a local derby with Streetly at Bishop Vesey school tomorrow (pushback 1.30pm).

SUTTON Coldfield thirds produced a five star performance as they eased home against Long Buckby.

Jenny Tipping gave them a 1-0 half time lead, and Ali Jeans stretched the lead after the break.

Sophie Poxon and Beth Willis added further goals, before Bethan McGrath sealed the victory.

A HAT-TRICK from Charlotte Middleton set Sutton on their way to this impressive win.

Cath James also scored three and Vicki Graham added four goals, while Helen Edmonds was also on target.

Amy Gosling and Harriet Potter were impressive in attack.

Atherstone Ladies 2 Sutton Coldfield Ladies Fifth XI 3

SUTTON came from 2-0 down to secure victory.

Naomi Thornley pulled one back, striking towards goal, with Lucy Dixon following up the parried shot to score.

Sutton kept up the pressure and a lovely through ball from Thornley led to Shannon Lyndsey scoring.

Lucy Dixon added the third to seal a great fight back.
