Bishop Walsh's school badge depicts three red "martlets".
AT BISHOP Walsh Catholic School we are very proud of our distinctive school crest which is on pupils' blazers. It depicts three red "martlets" reminiscent of a swallow. People often ask me about the badge and I explain that the school uses the crest of our patron Bishop Thomas Walsh (1776-1849). Among other things Bishop Walsh was the first Catholic Bishop of Birmingham and commissioned both Oscott College and St Chad's...

So, we could be philosophical about this and put it down to bad...
